Miami -- The Cardinals barely pulled it out in the ninth inning. Jenkins debut was ok. He had a triple and scored a run.

Cardinals sign Von Jenkins
St. Louis -- The Cardinals have reached out to Von Jenkins and signed him to a two year deal. Jenkins was expected to sign with the Indians, but an agreement couldn't be reached.

Cleveland -- Opening Weekend. Football. More important it is the opening weekend of the NFL and we were hit with some surprises. No one expected Cleveland to beat the Eagles even though the Browns went undefeated in preseason.
Trent Richardson's first start in the NFL didn't disappoint any of the Dog Pound. The Browns' defense held Michael Vick in check with his running ability. Vick still had some decent numbers passing the ball. A few screen plays to L. McCoy ripped off several yards on the Browns. Cleveland is projected to finish last in the AFC North. However, if they can continue to play like they did against the Eagles, the Browns could be a legit threat to the Steelers and Ravens.

Cleveland -- It is only preseason, but the Browns are undefeated in preseason play, 4-0. Montario Hardesty looked great with 119 yards and 1 TD rushing the ball. Defense looks as though they could be top 10 or even top 5 in the NFL. It's early, but it seems as though Jenkins has made a significant change in Cleveland.

Shockey to the Chiefs
The only big news is Jeremy Shockey signed a one year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Also, the Browns cut DE Juqua Parker.

Cleveland -- Eagles crushed the Browns for most of the first quarter. Vick and D. Jackson were unstoppable. Lucky for the Browns, it was preseason and the backups came in. Colt McCoy played a really good game and the Browns defense was ravenous.

Browns Cut T.O. and Ocho-Cinco
Browns have cut ties with third string quarterback, Thaddeus Lewis and wide receivers Chad Johnson and Terrell Owens. "Unfortunately, we didn't see anything all that impressive about Johnson or Owens," said Jenkins. "We wish them the best of luck."

Green Bay, WI -- This game started out as a defensive battle. Neither Aaron Rodgers nor Brandon Weeden could get anything going. It was both teams' backup quarterback that were productive. The Browns' defense was absurd. I'm not sure what Jenkins has told that D-Line, but they played like they were playing in the mid-season form - emotion and just downright dominating the line of scrimmage. Cleveland is looking like a contender for the AFC North division title. I know this is only preseason, but Jenkins has this team looking good.

Lexington, KY -- Absolute shocker! Kentucky was rolling UCA with a 22 point lead late in the first half. When Kentucky took out the starters early in the second half is when the epic collapse happened. The starters of Kentucky came back in when the Wildcats were up 15, but couldn't hold off the Bears. Tied 79-79 with 30 seconds left, the Bears held for the final shot. As time was about to expire, the starting point guard of the Bears threw up a prayer from the top of the key. The shot rolled around on the rim and went it for the most monumental upset of the year. "I kept tellin' my players to keep fighting. Don't stop believing. I am so proud of my guys. We were down big and showed the nation what we are made of...Bear-Power," exclaimed Coach Jenkins. Next game -- Alabama A&M.

Conway, AR -- University of Central Arkansas announced the school has hired Von Jenkins as its new head basketball coach.

Detroit -- The Browns came out unstoppable on offense, but stalled in the second quarter. "We got ahead of ourselves and lost focus for a few minutes," Coach Jenkins told reporters. Even though the game doesn't really count, this game was a huge win for Jenkins and the Browns organization.
